Everybody is different but in general, yes...creatine works to help you build muscle mass.  It enables you to push harder, train longer, with quicker recovery (which in turn allows your muscles to grow faster).  It is helpful for both building strength and gain.  Remember to push yourself when you are lifting.  

  3. Creatine doesn't build muscle. Creatine monophosphate is an energy source used in metabolism. There are conflicting theories as to whether it actually helps or has a simple placebo effect on building muscle. One thing is for certain it's purpose is merely to act as an energy source. What it will do is help give your muscles nutrients during extended periods of weight lifting. Protein helps "build" muscle. Take both if you are serious about gaining.
