A definite yes. It is not only the cricket but also the people following it like a crzy piece of sh*t  which suppresses other sports..

1)there are no other major championship or feats in other sports after the 1983 world cup .Except in tennis ,chess,billiards.and some sports in patches.

2) Indian Cricketers are being paid more than wat de r worth of(100 )

3) U take times of india paper and count how many news items are there about cricket in the paper for a week. and compare with other sport articles.

4) Flash news. even if  Indian cricketers wins or loses.

Dash news for other sporting events of indians participating in all sports event and competition.

5) if u switch on tv half the time u will c that stupid face of Dhoni or some s**+*ty cricketer.

6) Cricket has become a cancer in our country regarding sports.It is a weed which has eaten up spaces of other sports.

If cricketers are enjoying so much publicity , money and fame it is coz of stupidity of us indians.

Yes!!!take the case of india itself!!!Hockey is our national game but people are getting more inclined towards cricket hence hockey is not having that much fans if compared to cricket!!if this is the case in India then imagine bout the national games of other countries

Depends which country ur talking about . In england, they have soccer where they have more people following up on soccer than cricket.

    it all depends which country youre referring to, if it's india. its sad but yes, cricket is all they know. i would want india to step it up and make a good soccer team where i could see them somewhere in the world cup....but that will never happen long as cricket is there.

It may seem that way but actually other sports are also getting more popular. In India it's only hockey that losing grounds but more than anything it's the way hockey is being managed is the reason. Popularity of cricket has hardly anything to do with it.

They tried to revive Hockey with the League matches ... it was a flop ... not many people watch or play Football other than the guys from Bengal and Kerala... what about basket ball and volley ball? that was it for team games

tennis,golf,squash and batminton have very good talent in india... but not the star value/money associated with cricket

No, not at all.  

Cricket game has got lots of fun for 5 days Test match.  

No other game has this much of fun.  

Cricket game bowlers catch the cricket ball and bowl.  

The 'ball' shape often changes and then the umpire discusses shape of the 'ball' with both captains,  batsmen, bowlers and all fielders. The bowler expects the same type of ball and the umpire asks for all types of balls and selects more or less same type of ball.  The batsmen, bowlers satisfied with the ball the play re-starts.  

People in India throw bottles etc on cricket field and the security has a tough job of removing all JUNK items.

LBW  =  actual meaning is Leg before wicket.  LBW is the most glorious uncertainty for any batsmen, bowlers,  spectators, etc are on toes. Another version for LBW is love before wedding is also similar to Leg before wicket.  

Runout is another very interesting thing in cricket makes all wonder.  Runout is another piece of talent for the fielders.to show their might challenging the batsmen.  

In India spectators are the greatest wonders.  Indian spectators want Indian cricket team to win all matches.  Is it possible?  But if Indian cricket team which goes abroad and comes losing with poor show all know what will happen to them! Due to this reason cricket players play nicely and win many matches. Another wonder is that now a days, third umpire and fourth umpire have come for further fun in the game.  When the rain comes again nobody knows where the match will go and how the match will end.  

Bad light also can stop play and make the match end in draw.  Statistics is useful for analysis by which people come to wrong conclusion also viz., a bad bowler can become a good bowler, bad batsmen can become good batsmen.  

Presently, even cine actresses and actors taking the main stage in the pavillion also with female commentrators commenting the cricket players all more fun for people.  

One day cricket, Twenty20 have added more masala to the cricket game quick money for the organisers even for the spectators quick 4's and quick 6's makes them cool and extra quick fun.  Peoople in India allow a few dogs on the cricket field for more tamasha. Security officials have tough time to catch the dogs and send them out of the cricket ground.  

Latest two things Monkey business & SLAP incident took cricket game to the climax level of fun for the spectators & cricket followers.  In Australia, one person ran on the field like a monkey by jumping, it was funny to see on television sets.  The security had a tough time to remove him from the field.  No other game has so much of fun & variety as that of cricket game
