Is Czech republic xenophobic/racist?

i am finally getting to go to Prague as an exchange student.but the recent attacks against foreigners are quite disturbing..has anyone been there and actually attacked or insulted? i heard that an Irish guy was killed some years back.i hope its not a hate crime..

Go on the State Department's website.  They issue warnings about dangers in countries.

There really isn't anything to be worried about. You should be fine.

They just might be less friendly to russians.
