Is Czechoslovakia a country?

McCain forgets that Czechoslovakia isn’t a country… again.»

During a press availability today, Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) said that he’s been concerned by “a couple of steps that the Russian government took in the last several day,” including “reducing the energy supplies to Czechoslovakia.” But, as TPM’s Greg Sargent points out, Czechoslovakia hasn’t existed in 15 years. This isn’t the first time McCain has made this mistake. At a debate in Oct. 2007, McCain said that America needs to “have a missile defense system in place in Czechoslovakia and Poland.”

Weird....

  1. I believe it is as much as I believe Obama and the fact we have 57 states

  2. Great are republicans so desperate to stop the black guy as to elect a man that still thinks its 1972 and the Cold War is still going strong

  3. ok...i can handle the first time...whatever...it was a mistake...but come on...at what point does it become a question of his age and his forgetfulness and then also a question of whether he has the geography and current events knowledge to be our President at a time when foregin tensions are so high.

  4. No, it's not a country. But then again, he says we need to invade Georgia, and make Atlanta into a democracy. Take care.

  5. they split both are country's

  6. I honestly think that John McCain is losing his wits.  Yes, I am an Obama supporter-but I'm not saying it to be malicious.  I don't think he is in good health, and I don't think he is of sound mind.

This is one of the reasons it is so important he doesn't get in to office.  If he does, Palin will end up our President, and she's even scarier than he is.

  7. no it is not.  But people kill me like people don't make mistakes if someone followed you around and recorded your every mistake how would you fair?

People also seem to think itis  not ok to change your mind if you are a politician.

  8. Yes. It's right next to Persia.

    McCain has several houses there.

  9. Why do Republicans go out and find the most incompetant.  OH, it just dawned on me.  Did you know that a fellow that was an MIT grad wanted to become a police officer, actually a detective, he took the test and they told him he failed.  He knew he knew the answers, took them to court and what came out was IF you pass the test THEN you are too smart to be a police officer.  You WILL NOT do what police are required to do.  Actually  you are too smart for the JOB.  Oh he won.

Republicans that are politicians are just puppets doing as they are told to do.  What the problem is they are KILLING the country they are supposedly trying to shape and mold. Mold for the WEALTHY!

While the mmmmmmmmmmmmiddle class try and defend them while they are selling down the river.

They are very limited in their intelligence and so they need power, might, lies and war to achieve what they want.

Have you noticed, Bush doesn't talk to anyone because he is probably closer to illiterate than we can imagine.  Conde she is who talks to heads of states, presidents etc..  Matter of fact have you ever seen Bush at a dinner or convention with other world leaders........ they don't even talk to him..

He has embarrassed one of the most important position a person could have and made it out of a laughing stock.

So, as for the Check issue.  That is par for the course for elected Republicans.  The others behind the scene are intelligent, greedy and evil.

  10. Yeah he's so forgetful....I wonder what "logic" made him come up with our "STAND-IN" President (in the event of his demise.)

    I'm SCARED FOR AMERICA

  11. lol a president should at least know that!!

Wait, here come the excuses and the shouts of proof when we all know it's true. This is the same man who that thought Iraq and Pakistan shared a border.
