  1. Desert War is some horse, a super horse. 12 wins, 6 at G1 by my reckoning. But Gai's had some exceptional horses.

    Grand Armee with 13 wins, 7 at G1 would get my vote. Overall his stats were 31:13-10-3. super consistent. Pound for pound his best would have beaten DW's best IMO.
