Well i think yes, Dhoni does deserve or he is worth being a test captain as he a very decisive player & an agressive wicket keeper. There is a lot of consistency & agression in his game & he more responsible than the rest in the team as seen. Apart from this winning & losing is a part of the game & the best performer is always liked by the world & so the winner takes it all.

A very good question and on balance, yes I think MS Dhoni will make an excellent test captain, once the embryonic days are over. He has that earthy no nonsense no frippery  approach to the game. Down to earth in his thinking and gets things done. Kumble is a weakling, doesn't have leadership quality in him. Not sure he could say boo to a goose. As a man a gentleman but the rules of the games are changing and there's no room for gentleman without strong personality in the game. Yes, Dhoni is the best fit for captaincy.

not until kumble retires, i know everyone talks dhoni up massively (cant understand it personally, i think Partiv Patel is a better keeper and a more reliable batsman in the longer form of the game, cant comment on kartik as i havent really seen him), but if he is going to be the captain at some point then give him some time to keep developing, DON'T be putting all this extra pressure on him, let him keep learning and developing his captaincy skills then when the time is right, then give him the captaincy, tho personally i wouldnt give it to him at all for the test side (shorter forms yes, test no), indian captains have enough pressure one them as it is without being expected to keep wickets and be a top line batsman, i wouldnt ask him to carry that big a workload as it will burn him out to early

lets put this to the situation with michael clarke over here, we all know he is being groomed to be australias next captain, but just because hes done well when he has captained before, doesnt mean we say he should be captain now do we? were not putting that extra pressure on him, he has enough pressure on him as it is without giving him extra to carry, maybe some of you should be giving dhoni the same luxury!
