In India IPL is known as the serial killer b'coz the whole family women children,oldies all are glued to watching IPL and this is never happened before in any sports.

  1. well, while the games have been good, No, its not the best cricket ever played. even tho Australia lost, i must say 2005 ashes had some the best cricket i ever saw, better then the IPL, also how about the Tied Test in the 60's between Australia and the West Indies, dont forget the Tie between India and Australia in Madras in 1986! what about bodyline as well? Sobers making 254 for the Rest of the World vs australia at the MCG in the 70's? Laxmans 281 vs Aus?

    No there are to many classic examples of great cricket out there, to rate a T20 Slog amogst them is a joke, i must admit T20 is growing on me, best Test cricket is real cricket to me, T20 doesnt compare on any level

  5. You are right. IPL is a crowd drawer. We have all forgotten soaps and anything else on TV. It fetches news all day long too.

    I have heard "who is playing today?" from people who never ever watch Cricket.

    It may not be good for Cricket. But it is playing to packed stadiums even on week day too. The crowd loves it.

  7. It is mainly because of the short duration of the game and also there willbe no dull moment throughout the game as compared to other formats of cricket.
