  1. No it runs through your phone line (although it doesn't interfere with telephone conversations)

  2. No. Most standard broadband connections are wired. They connect through your phone line for dsl or cable for cable. you then need to install a wireless router to make the service wireless.

  3. NO it just works through your phone line.

  4. no , but you can use a wireless access point to feed a DSL connection to your computer

  5. Nope! DSL stands for digital-subscriber line. It's a form of internet service run through existing phone cords. E.g., if you have AT&T, and sign up for both phone and internet, you *could* have DSL through your phone-line, or broadband through a separate cable.

So, er, DSL is not a wireless form of internet.

  6. Simple answer - Nope.

  7. There are different ways a computer can get internet access:

    1) Dial-Up (Yikes)

    2) Cable (Cable Company)

    3) DSL (Telephone Company

    4) Satallite (TV Provider)

    5) Power-Line (Electrical Company)

All of these bring internet to your house and a cable that leads to your Modem to a Router.

If you have wireless signal depends on your Router, if your router is wireless (Antenna's) then yes you will have wireless signal.

Therefore, No DSL is not a wireless connection but a means of providing internet to your house.
