  1. two different meanings,DWI,means driving while intoxicated, (drunk off your butt),and DUI,means driving under the influence,(just say no to drugs).Believe I'm right ,i know my nephew knows both alittle too much...

  2. No. DWI means driving without insurance.

DUI means driving under the influence.

  3. Same thing everywhere.

  4. My friend the cop says DUI is taking place of DWI because DWI implies you are drunk and if you don't blow over .08 you're off scot free...however with DUI (driving under the influence) all they have to show is you had some drinks and you can be written up. Same thing with the other one. OVI...operating vehicle impaired is easier to prove than operating intoxicated.

  5. D.U.I. (Driving under the Influence) and D.W.I. (Driving While Intoxicated) are the same thing, it is only a difference in wording and just depends on what state you are in.. Some places even refer to Drunk Driving as O.W.I. (Operating While Intoxicated) or O.V.I. (Operating a Vehicle under the Influence).. All of which are illegal, carry a heavy fine and mean you are going straight to jail when caught.

  6. driving w/o insurance

    driving under the influence

    not sure

  7. yes they both mean the samething!!

  8. Driving while intox, and driving under influence. It really depends on your record, yes, one could be more damaging than the other, depending on what state your in.

  9. Same Thing

  10. No they do not mean the same thing. They are similar though. DWI means that you are driving while intoxicated by alcohol. DUI means driving under the influence of a substance (also can be alcohol but can be other things like marijuana, meth, coke, etc.)
