Question:

Is Dale Jarrett right about the COT?

While watching his interview on speed last evening he said that from a safety standpoint the COT has been a complete success. But that the teams need to have more adjustability on the car. " these cars are hard to drive as compared to last years cars"

I agree with him because I've been watching and reading everything I come across about this car. Most teams ( not all ) can't get these cars set-up the way the drivers want them! Fast is loose, is the only way to have any success with this car. The teams that are having the most luck with it are teams that have drivers who like to drive a loose car. One that is so loose it's right on the edge of out of control all the time. I'm not saying this is a bad thing because it has changed who the winners are each week as compared to last year. But I expect Nascar to make some changes soon, so more drivers can get a set-up that better fits their style of driving?

  1. I have seen some of the rules Nascar has concerning shocks and springs. It's pretty ridiculous to not be able to adjust on a car. The teams are too limited on setup options. The rules need to be freed up a little.

  2. I'm still pondering his statements from last night.  I have mixed emotions on what he had to say.

  3. Jarret is just complaining   hes a sore loser

  4. Dale Jarrett is old and for old people change is hard to accept.

  5. Jarrett is bumming because he had to resort to working in the media instead of driving because he has really struggled the two years, and mad that the COT drove him out of racing.

  6. I agree with you 100%. You bring up a good point about drivers that like loose cars winning. Carl "I love racing on dirt" Edwards and Kyle "show the right side of the car to the camera" Busch. I do think the handeling will get better with time but I wish Nascar would do something to help them find the comfort. This car does bring out the better drivers as opposed to the better cars and I do like that part of it though.

  7. all drivers prefer the older cars because they had more downforce I dont think nascar will change drivers will have to adjust to the new cars like always.

the COT has also allowed alot of side by side racing and works alot better on the superspeedways then the older car IMO. I really dont want to see a guy getting aero loose just because some one comes up on his corner thats what happend in the old car.

I am in no place to say dale jarrett is wrong thats just my own opinion

  8. Yes! I agree! With Jarrett!

Get rid of the bump stops! That will solve everything!
