Is Dale Junior really getting Gordon and Johnsons old cars?

I have a hard time believe that after last seasons success, and this seasons failures at Hendrick, that Johnson and Gordon are still the top dogs that they were last season. You can not convince me that Dale Junior is a better driver than these champions, and I am wondering what equipment he is getting to be doing so much better than them, but only with 1 win. Everybody says the other teams have caught up with Hendrick but I dont see how you win half the races one year and only 2 the next.

I am very curious about this issue. Is Rick trying to get Junior a championship this season and then work with Gordon and Johnson more next season or what? Whats up at Hendrick?

    lets see dale has won back to back busch championships, he won the daytona 500. i know he had a loosing streak, but hey i am a stewart fan, and tony on one right now and i think he is the best driver still.....

    just because he fired joey does not mean he is a bad driver..... he finished way better than jeff and jimmie this year! but hey, who keeping record................ :-)

  4. Jeff and Jimmie wouldn't sit still for that, and it would certainly not benefit HMS.  They just didn't put in the time behind the wheel during testing.

  5. Did you ever stop and think that Jr. just might be a better driver??? With the SAME equipment that is what it is looking like...........I wonder what Earnhardt has to do to shut some of you people up.............13 top 10's not good enough?? Was it bad equipment that made Gordon get in Edwards way and get him spun out?? #24 even admitted he screwed up!!

    Next the #24 followers will be saying an alien has taken over Jeffy's body...............WOW!!

    Well lets see, this is Jr's first year in Hendrick equipment and he is already wayyyyyyy above what everyone else thought he would do. I do not have to SPECULATE on anything, JUST LOOK AT THE STATS!!! The stats do not lie!!!!!

    Don't you think if Hendrick was putting more money or time into Jr's equipment somebody WITHIN the organization would have said something.....................????

Hmmm.............Dale Jr has'nt blown an engine ( he had 5 dnf's last season - most because of blown engines) - Hendricks definitely has the superior engines, and even though I wish he'd be a little more aggressive, he is driving a lot smarter - more for points than always racing for the win. He is 2nd in points because of that, and I'm thinking maybe once he has a spot ensured - then you will see him run the 88 wide open

  9. Um the 4 teams come out of 2 different shops...24 and the 48 come from one and the 88 and 25 come from the other. And that Hendrick wants ALL teams to be championship contenders thats why he got martin to come back full time for 2 years to replace Mears.

    To be honest Gordan and Johnson had the best year last year, its hard to top it. They also have nothing to prove. I am sure when the chase begins the teams should start to show what they are made of. Johnson's team is starting to show that championship caliber and Gordan just seems to not have the grandest cars. Hopefully thats fixed before the chase. Either that or the teams were definatly behind with the CoT last year and hendrick came out on top because of the talent of the drivers. Which is possible since everyone is still having trouble with turning and driving side by side.

    And in every sport teams will have up and down seasons. You cant be dominant every year otherwise it would get boring.

  11. Unfortunately, in my opinion, I think Nascar considers Dale Jr. it's biggest profit. So, of course they are going to spend more money on him then Jimmie or Jeff, plus they don't want to look like idiots for bringing him into their team to watch him lose to Jeff & Jimmie each week. I am a big Dale fan, can't stand Jeff, & Jimmie is alright, but I do think it kind of sucks for Jimmie & Jeff. I think the whole team is going to go down the pots because of all the money they are putting into Dale's car.

  14. Dale Earnhardt, Jr. stole Casey Mears's sponsours and all of his teammates equipment. Rick Hendrick is giving Dale Jr the best equipment and spnosours, not only because Dale is popular as h**l, but so he can be part of Jr. Nation's storybook ending when he wins the championship and so poor little helpless Dale Jr won't be caught up in the amateur melee.
