Is Danica Patrick kind of an act?

I mean she seems to want it both ways. She wants people to look at her not as a s*x symbol or a woman but as a driver but I see her all the time in ads where her sexuality and looks is the main sell.

I guess since she's got both; she uses each when she wants to.  Her latest godaddy.com ad was very toned down and the shirt didn't even fit her right.  I saw her eyes at the start of the 500 and it is obvious, even in full gear, she is a beautiful woman.  Too bad she runs into people.  LOL

The race is blacked out here and they are playing it now on local TV.  

P.S. godaddy is an excellent company.

im not a danica fan. but i feel like i need to address this question. the main problem with this sport is that they look at the competitors as a "female driver" or "male driver" ...it limits the sport and turns people off. they need to look at everyone as JUST ANOTHER DRIVER. no s*x or color included. credit should be due to the driver because of wins not b./c of s*x. which is a big problem.

and as far as her being an act.. as long as she brings people to the sport then HEY the more the merrier.

i dont understand y everyone feels they need to bash her. indycar is benefiting!!! APPLAUD HER!!

I've never got the idea she didn't want to be seen as a s*x symbol. She is a competent race driver, a beautiful and s**y woman, and a very media savvy person.

She is fast becoming one of those iconic one-name celebrities.

Tiger - you think of golf.

Serena - you think of tennis.

Danica - you think of racing.

Paris - you think of, well rich spoiled air-heads, but that's another story altogether.

So what? Lesser men resent Kasey Kahne and Jeff Gordon because they dove into the gene pool and and got the biggest catch, so regardless of accomplishments there is name calling. Danica has one thing, she will now and forever more be the first woman to win a major racing event. I watched the first 500 I've watched in years,because of reunification and Danica, not necessarily in that order.
