Is Data's new rhyme better?

Question

Here are two versions of the same nursery rhyme. This is the newer one:

Lambent nocturnal ray of interstellar day,

On ocular array, my earliest display:

I wish I may; metaphorically I pray,

My living wish convey, this infrared bathed day.

The older one may have been a mouth-ful:

Effusion photonic of fusion infernal,

Unit ordinality's glimmer nocturnal:

Be there no erratum for my desideratum,

Scintillatious coruscating star internal.

I favor the first version.  I enjoyed the internal rhyme.  It flowed and danced well.
