Is December or January a bad time climate wise to travel to the carribean islands?

When is hurricane season in the Bahamas?

december and january are the best times if you ask me. its not too hot, the bugs are at a low. hurricane season is usually end of august until early november.

We went to a couple carribean islands during our cruise in late december last year, and the weather was around 80 and sunny. I would say that is the perfect time of year to go. Of course it is usually about 10 degrees here where I am am at that time, so 80 feels great. You shouldn't have any problems with hurricanes at that time. Have a great time.

That is a great time to travel to the Caribbean. it is warm, but not as humid as it would be during the Summer months. Hurricane season is From around June to November, so of course that would not be a good time to go unless you are looking for a bargain. Most people do visit the Caribbean during December to May.

Starting Dec 15th or so till April 15th is considered high season in the Caribbean. The snow birds love to travel to the Caribbean during the winter. It is also the most expensive time except for just after the New Year. About mid January for some reason there is a lag in travel, so that would be a great time to travel because you will get some reduced rates on air and land packages.

The Bahamas or Bermuda would be little cool at the time of year (January) so if you're looking for hot travel further into the caribbean.

Hurricane season June 1 to Nov 30th. The worst time for tropical storms Aug, Sept and Oct. The waters of the caribbean start to get very warm and that is fuel for the hurricanes.

December and January should be fine.  Hurricane season runs June to November.  You may still get a couple showers in December but not enough to dampen you vacation.

We've gone to the caribbean 4 times--3 times in Jan. and once in Nov.--weather has been beautiful each time.

By then you will be safe from the regular hurricane season and it will not be as hot as during the summer. Might have some more frequent rain showers here and there, but all in all a good time to travel to the Caribbean.
