It is truly sad to think that anyone cares about this anymore.  He is a fine ballplayer, who perhaps has had better years, and that is all we should care about.

"just wondering" resurrects  the issue and succeeds in raising it in peoples' consciousness.  This was probably your intent after all.

For the record, he is not a member of the club.

Why does it matter?

He identifies with his black father and his white mother. Other than that, he's a good ballplayer and that's all I'm concerned with.

Well he is half-black and half-white, he's bi-racial that's all there is to it.   This is a baseball section by the way, this has nothing to do with it.
