Nalaka,Your answer reminds me of famous Hindi proverb "Jis thaali mein Khaaya usi mein chedd kiya".

The translation is destroying the plate from which he was eating.

  1. yar keep in mind that what u r seeing would not actually really like that

  2. no

  3. Its shocking for me to hear that.

But of it really true then i think that he reall is selfish.

have u heard that nowadays he is being guarded by female cops to keep him away from female fans!

what does he think they will do to him?

I think that he is  really hungry for money.

he is also the top endorsed cricketer of India.

    GOD Forbid!!!!!

  4. I don't want to be hasty. We are not aware of all that he did during the off period. The media will focus only sensational events.

So far he has not been selfish.

After all he is going to play in the coming one day series.Even taking rest from the test series was understandable.Let us wait for further details.

  5. It's very easy to condemn him without knowing the full story, but it would help his public image if he did visit his old school. I'm sure it wouldn't take much time out of his day.

  6. as far as i know he never acted selfishly and never cheated on the field,  i don't know why you are comparing him with Azhar!

media always gives a presentation for off the field activity which is 50% correct and 50% exeggerated, we should never judge people based on their actions which are apparent, there is a private life of these people and we never know what they do for society in their personal lives, may be he is giving donation to some charity organisation, which you don't know,  no one can befool any one in this world for long !

Indian Govt. has given him Khel Ratna award , it implies the guy has a clean image and there will always be critics with the success!

    hope this helps!

    god bless!

  7. Dhoni is everything you say but the Indian government is more selfish than even Dhoni that they are giving him the Khel Ratna award so that he can an obedient campaign worker for congress in the next election and attract tons of votes.

  8. I hate him ever since he became captain

    useless fellow

    should be cicked off

  9. i think yes u are right

    He is playing for money

in reality show i think he got too much money!!!!!!!!!!!111

  10. May be not at the moment but I fear he will be soon the most selfish player. The way he is going about is a very planned way & is very difficult to openly critisize him

  11. No such stories came out when he was leading the team, down under to a historic ODI series win ...

  12. Well, I don't know about others, but to me, it's a well known fact that "where there is money, there is Dhoni". Lol! money even rhymes with Dhoni. In Bengali dhoni means "rich"! All that he has done, ever since he became the captain has quite clearly shown his selfish nature.

After getting appointed as the skipper, his first task was to kick off the 2 seniors-Ganguly and Dravid, in order to consolidate his position as a captain, and he did that. Next, he became the highest paid IPL player, and never once felt fatigued, when there were back to back IPL matches, but when it came to tests, suddenly he became too weary, because test matches won't fill up his pockets with as much money as IPL does. Rather, he chose to participate in reality shows, because the financial benefits offered by them seemed tempting!

Well, all these incidents are quite enough to make his atitude clear to me, and the fact that he has arrongantly turned down his school's offer to felicitate him comes as no surprise to me. He doesn't know how to respect his seniors, and so, it's obvious that he won't care about paying respect to his Alma mater either!

And as for dirty politics, well Dhoni is a master at that art, and is equally good at backstabbing. I wonder why he joined cricket in the 1st place. He may not be involved in match fixing like Azhar, because apparently he keeps up a goody goody image, but his huge ego would surely be detrimental to Indian cricket. Atleast, Azharuddin was genuinely a good batsman, unlike Dhoni. But the unfortunate part is that majority of the Indian cricket fans have been hypnotized by Dhoni, and so it's very difficult to make them see senses just now.

  13. yes he is really a selfish player

  14. Why am I not shocked?

Apart from a few of them, I lack respect for celebrities. So this does not come as surprise to me at all.

Every single of them are selfish. They only do things that will benefit them. Primary concern is money. He do have time to play carom & cricket with politicos, he have time to test drive Scorpios. Because there are benefits from them. But what are the benefits of visiting your alma mater.

  15.   REF:

"Oh Indians Open you eyes before he becomes another Azharuddin." - QUOTE from your Q

Talk of Azaruddin and Dhoni in one breath is an insult to Indians, Team India,  and all.

Dhoni for all his faults is very straightforward and clean. I what puts him apart. If you know India, you ould alo knoW that dhoni has left Ranchi and was in mumbai for the photo shoots, TV Reality show and then Team selection for ODIs

As for school functions, he did a lot on return from Australia; went to school as well as the College to join for Graduation course. And those functions take all day. not a 2 hour shoot.

I knoW hoW tiresome thoSe function are!

    ..

  16. Well i find this information very surprising...

I thought he would have had plenty of time on his hands,a little disappointing, but i don't know the full story so i am not going to comment..

Edit:Oh yes it looks like money and politics are more important than his fans,OK...

  17. might be ."these are early days inhis cricketlife". so we have to wait and see.   Never the less ,after 25 years he has brought WORLD CUP to us.so we have to respect him

  18. I'm sorry but I do not see how you can say here that Dhoni is a selfish cricketer. The above seems to directed more at his life outside of cricket.

    A selfish person, perhaps.

A selfish cricketer is one who tries to get as much as he can in a game without any thought for other players or teams.

  19. We dont know real story behind it.( He had 2 leave 2 mumbai 4 one day team selection so he must have been rejected)

He also visits his school whenever he gets the time.

After winning the CB Series he went 2 school & spend some time with School chlidrens.

On tuesday (after knowing he had won khel ratna) he spent time with local kids by giving them autographs & snaps.

He had also participated in HIV awareness programme during his holidays without taking any money.

So I dont think any selfishness in it.

Why his singing song in a show is made a big issue?

Comeon ya, it was the part of that show.

  20. I think he is very selfish person. He always do wt he thinks best for him.

Why he not played fast in Australia Beacuse he knew that he will out in very less scores. So that he plays very Protective Cricket

  21. I totaly agree with you. I read this Q about 5 times ,I couldnt belive such a tallent vice player. Thank You very much for wasting 5 points and telling us the truth , if you didnt tell me i would have been still and fan of that selfish.I hate selfish people.

  22. HOW CAN HE B SELFISH!!!

    COMMON!!

  23. I totally agree with Somdyuti...........

I am not his gr88test fan......so if you ask me this Q my answer is pretty evident

  24. yes i agree, money talks,  Mahinder S.Dhoni  has no time for alma mater ..Even Sri Lankan fans were really looking froward to see whole Indian star studded team (including M.S.Dhoni),would .play in Sri lanka,... but now this so called hero is missing in action ,(resting, singing & partying ).i think he would only be interested in visiting to Zimbabwe

Bangladesh & West indies for test matches,... but

with Sri Lanka..South Africa & Australia = he will be unavailabe (resting.),..but saying so,..He's got  some ulterior motives~

If this series is scheduled with Bangla or zimbabwe ,.. then Dhoni would have gladly toured there . But as a shrewed general who knows how to  seeks tactical reasons ,.he does not want to expose himself to new found threat ,..he apperently doesnt want to see Ajantha Mendis again ,..It seems too soon to jeopardize his test spot . If Anil Kumble fails ,in this tour ,.. then it could be made as M.S.Dhoni's advantage to get" Test captaincy" for himself too..as a strong young man mahi does not need some "rest" likes of  Dravid Ganguly &Sachin do . And one may feel this is Dhoni's way of showing his worth in TEST matches than big 4~.

not bad MSD  not bad ,..ONE SHOT ,..4 birds!!!!..!!
