Vice President d**k Cheney’s office was involved in removing statements on health risks posed by global warming from a draft of a health official’s Senate testimony last year.[1] The testimony was prepared by Dr. Julie L. Gerberding, the head of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, for a hearing last October before a congressional committee.

[Swift Boat Veteran] Marc Morano, a spokesman for Senator James M. Inhofe, ranking minority member on the committee, responded by saying, “All administrations edit testimony before it is submitted to Congress.”[2]

  1. Well, AGW is a hoax, so thus, global warming health risks would be the same health risks you would face in any weather conditions. I don't know why that's necessary to present in a report.

  2. 31,000 scientist have signed a petition stating that "Global Warming" in the biggest hoax of all time. It is a natural accordance that has been taking place over and over for billions of years. Be careful what you listen to because a lot of the information out there is just liberal demicrap.

  3. He is just not creating a false panic. We have only been studying the weather/climate for a little over 120 years. How can any educated person say that global warming is a man made event or even a threat to us? The Earth has been around for millions and millions of years. We have no clue what the climate cycle for our planet is. Does this mean we can pollute like their is no tomorrow? Of course not. But, to make all this hype is crazy. Let's solve the issues of today like people coming into our country without following proper procedures first. Then we can worry about theories.

  4. The designation hero or villain is irrelevant, and directs attention away from the act itself.

What d**k Cheney did was attempt to obliterate facts that he didn't agree with. This is akin to King George III's statement, "I want what is good. Therefore, anyone who does not agree with me is a traitor."

Neither George III nor d**k Cheney had a monopoly on the facts. To attempt to alter or remove said facts is to state that you are both above the law, and the final word on what is safe for public consumption. Neither of which are true!

  5. He is a hero as global warming is a farce and designed to destroy American productivity.

  6. neither he´s just really stupid

  7. What "heath risks" ??? Sorry but I don't see any right now.

  8. Seeing as global warming is complete c**p aimed at expanding government and giving power to international bodies, good. Maybe the only time I actually agree with Cheney.

  9. It is sad that this administration has done so much to undermine the trust of the American people they are suppose to serve. Lies and misinformation are common tolls for this crew though.  At least January will bring a new start.

  10. I don't think he fits into either of those two categories based on striking a few lines from a controversial theory.

  11. Personally I feel that anyone who censors science for political reasons is a villain.  If you want to dispute the science with your own scientific study, then go for it.  But don't censor the science just because you don't like its conclusions.  That is unacceptable.

  12. Good d**k,

  13. I believe censorship like that is absolutely wrong and un-American.

If he were to get a credible scientist to testify those things aren't true, that would be fine.  But just removing what he doesn't want to be heard is not.  If it's true that all administrations "edit" testimony in that way, I believe it should be stopped.
