Is Dining Out in Bern different from Dining Out elsewhere?

Just wondering why it deserves its own category, while World Religions gets just one.

I have not dined in Bern, but in other cities near central Switzerland and near Basel.  Dining depends not only on the region but the type of establishment you have chosen.  Swiss cuisine is unique as it may have a French, Italian or German/Austrian influence.  Swiss wines are a secret, along with Swiss beer, but the food....ahhhh the food.  Perhaps it is the French influence and Italian friendliness and the German discipline in the kitchen along with the beautiful Swiss scenery.  But I shall never forget the most marvelous creamed veal over noodles with a wonderful white wine as I watched a full moon rise over the alps.  Best meal in my life.
