Is Douglas Fir bark ok for tegu cages?

Question

i mix coco fiber with coco soft chips but they didnt have any. i got Douglas Fir bark a guy said it be ok. but i just wanna be sure is Douglas Fir bark ok for a black and white tegu.

Bark generally is not recommended as a substrate, since it is indigestible, so I'm gonna have to say no....
