They definitely have similar thought processes, namely that if they say something often enough, it will come true.  The former of the two is incredibly annoying.  All he ever does is ask those dumb sorts of questions with absolutely zero content.

Actually he reminds me of a push poller.  Like the Bush/Rove guys prior to the 2000 South Carolina primary, where they called people up and asked "would you be more or less likely to vote for McCain if you knew he had an illegitimate black child?".  You put it in their heads that McCain has an illegitimate black child (or that AGW is a hoax), and then base the rest of the question on this false statement.  Too bad South Carolina Republicans weren't smart enough to see through this deception.
