  1. The series is over. If you remember in the of GT, Goku absorbs all of the Dragon Ball.

  2. Dragonball is over. Dragonball was really all one series. It was just a shift when Goku got older, which when they decided to move it over to America somebody thought it would be easier if the second half of the manga and anime, when Goku was suddenly older, should be a seperate series, so somebody made it Dragonball Z. Viz thought it would be confusing and so they too followed the anime and split it up into Dragonball and Dragonball Z.

Dragonball GT was an anime made by Toei Animations to cash in on the popularity of Dragonball (Dragonball Z for us) and was not a manga, nor was it a continuation of Dragonball Z. Akira Toriyama, the creater of Dragonball, had finished the series and moved on, but gave his OK for Toei to make an anime. GT wasn't very popular and it bombed, and Toriyama had wiped his hands already. That is why GT is confusing, because Toei made it and not Toriyama. So its kind of a stand-alone anime that tried but failed to follow Dragonball Z. Since it bombed and Toriyama had moved on after DBZ, nobody is going to make another series after GT. And it has been over 10 years anyway!

Dragonball is all over with. Akira Toriyama finished the Dragonball manga in 1995 and moved on to another series, and then another and another. DBZ ended in 1996 and GT in 97. There were specials made after that, from 1986 to 1997 which are all the Dragonball and DBZ movies we have out now. There was a special episode made recently for the 40th Anniversary of Weekly Shonen Jump that is an episode of DBZ, but it will take some time for it to be subbed, and even longer to be dubbed, and it is a special episode. It will probably be added to a DBZ DVD as a special episode (just a guess) A live-action DBZ movie will be coming out in April 2009 (unless they push it back) but the movie has been in the works since 2001 so it is just a movie and nothing more will come of it, unless it does REALLY well, in which case they will make a second movie.

    Otherwise, no more Dragonball!

  3. I loved the show but nothing has been said about a continuation.  There have been fan made continuations like DRAGONBALL AF and DRAGONBALL V, but sadly nothing concrete has been said.  Hopefully with the release of the live action movie they could continue it, or at least air the old shows on TV again.
