Is Dragon Ball GT Fake?

ok I keep hearing people say that everything that happend on Dragon Ball GT dosent count that its basically Fake.Most people say that Its not really Dragon Ball and that Dragon Ball ended on DBZ.So why do they say that?and Its it ture?
