  1. There is already DTV in Canada!

    The date for shutting down analog over the air broadcasts in Canada is August 31, 2011.

    If you receive any US stations with an antenna, you will obviously be effected by the 2/17/09 shutdown in the US.

    These dates are for over the air TV only, they do not effect cable & satellite reception.

    Canada is using the same digital broadcast system as the US, so by the time 8/2011 rolls around, the converters will be cheaper and  more refined.
