Question:

Is ESP a good snowboard company?

i got an ESP board at a thrift shop fro $8. it looks like a real board - its 58 1/2" long and has metal edges and bindings that look exactly like the pro boards. each end is flared up also. the only thing is that its ribbed on the bottom (for stability i guess) which i dont think real boards have.

i saw a guy selling an ESP board for $60, which is why i ask if its any good. i may rip that whole top sticker off and give it a nice paint job if its a decent board. otherwise, ill throw some decals on and save for a new board.

before you tell me to go buy a "real" board, i want you to know that i dont go to any mountains. i just hang with friends at a local park to have fun. i used this board last year and i can keep up with the other guy who has a "real" board.

  1. it sound good for what you are doing because if yiu took a real board it would get messed up

  2. well if your getting a plastic board then it doesnt really matter

    it would probly do

  3. Ive never heard of ESP and would guess they are a budget brand. But just because they are a budget brand it doesent mean they are unrideable as such, its just you wont get as much out of it and it wont perform as well as a more well known and respected brand. I would certainly rather have a budget board than no board at all, but id advise you to keep saving as you really will feel the difference when you get a better quality board. Good luck with the riding.

  4. The ESP board is fine for your purposes!  Don't be a label ho!

  5. lol

  6. I wouldn't say it's a good board. But it's just one of the hundreds of cheapish boards made. And I think if your using it minimally like you do it's fine, especially since you got it for 8$
