In general yes, the Lowdown is a very good quality bike for the money. But, the real question you need to be asking is if the Lowdown is a good bike for YOU. By that I mean your size and how you intend to ride the bike. The Lowdown is an entry level bike designed for younger riders (roughly 8-12 yrs).  It has a 19.75" top tube and the 1 pc cranks are shorter that Easterns' 3 pc cranks. Cranks can be changed but top tubes can't. The Paydirt is very similar but with a 20.25" top tube and 3 pc cranks. You may want to look at that as well.
