Is El Salvador a safe country?

I heard if your from America, or black the MS13 gang will kill you, AHHH I'm flying down there next week (San Salvador), will I be killed, is it safe??

No. A lot of white people go to El Salvador and they dont get killed by gangs just because you are white.
I suggest you do research, or go with someone who knows where's safe and where is not.

I've lived in El Salvador almost my whole life, and I NEVER saw a gang member in person, never got robbed, assaulted, NOTHING.  Because I lived and went to safe places, and dont worry, there are lots of safe places. I hardly ever experienced power outages either (I was reading one of the earlier posts), yes you can be out at night, I used to party until 4 in the morning. But you have to know where to go. El Salvador is a beautiful place. There are many white tourists in certain places, as well as other races.
