Is Emily from General Hospital really dead?

I watched her grow up with Nicholas. Its unfair. They were childhood friends and I thought their relationship was meant to be. I cant believe the writers killed her off. Im never going to watch GH again unless they bring her back to life and reunite her with Nick. If Emilys dead, I want them to change the Nick actor. Its heartbreaking to see him fall in love with anyone else.

Yes, the Text Message Killer strangled Emily. The scenes from her funeral and when they found her body were absolutely heartbreaking.

I think they made a big mistake by killing off such a central character who has so many ties to Port Charles. It is so sad watching Nik without Emily.  

But this is a soap opera so I guess no one is ever really dead, they could find someone way to bring her character back.

It's a soap opera.If she decides she wants to come back,I'm sure they will write a reason for her death or what we thought was her death.

For all intents and purposes she is dead.  But you know soaps, they find all kinds of crazy ways to bring characters back if they want to.

Yes, she laid there for so long and was handled by so many people, someone would have noticed. But Robert Guza has said that he already has a top secret story in place so that if down the road, Natalia Livingston comes to him and says, I want to come back, he will bring her back, but only if she were to be played by her, no one else.So basically Emily will only stay dead as long as Natalia stays away, if she has a change of heart, she will live again!

It totally sucks that Emily's gone for good!  The actress wanted out and even though she's a recast, they considered her the real Emily (Amber Tamblyn was the original Emily but she wanted to do other things so she left the show).  However, the producers and writers have all said that the instant she wants to come back, they have storylines all ready for her return (I'm guessing she'd come back as Emily's half-sister that no one ever knew about, you know Emily was adopted by the Quartermaines, right?).  I hope she does want to come back because I love that Emily and I think she and Nikolas really do belong together.  The actors who played Nikolas and Emily dated for a while.  Did you also know that the actor who plays Nikolas left the show (and they recast him) but they convinced him to come back?  He also was married to Eva Longoria a long time ago.

Yes, she is dead.  I hated the recast so I was relieved when her ghost finally went to ground.  i would like to see Nik with a princess, wouldn't you?  Someone who understands who he is instead of nadine. Oh, I could puke.  another goody goody.

This is a soap. She could come back if they have a really good storyline for her to come back too.

Yes she is dead.  I thought their storyline was boring and she actually got more air time as a figment of his imagination.  They could always bring her back as another character but he is a Cassidine and he needs to be more edgy.

I miss Emily too.  I've watched this show for so long, and I remember when Em first came on the show, when Monica and Alan adopted her and she was played by Amber Tamblyn (I liked both actresses who played her).  Like you, I watched her grow up, and I was so enthused when Nik and Em finally got together.  To me, they were always meant to be, and I've been having such a hard time watching him and Nadine get together.  It feels like I'm watching a cheap imitation of the real thing.  

Nic doesn't seem like himself w/o Em.  And I miss Liz and Em's friendship.  And the brother/sister bond with Em and Jason.  And the whole "we were best friends first" bond that Em and Lucky had.  And how she fit right in w/the Quartermaines, and that she was considered the good Quartermaine.  She was an important character and meant so much to so many people on the show.  It's a shame they didn't keep her on.

I don't know if they will ever bring Em back but, that's the thing about soaps.  Anything could happen.  =)  Maybe one day, Helena will come back, and we'll find out she had kidnapped Em or something, and that Em's been alive all this time.  You never know.
