Is Euro currency valid in London?

guys, help me out.. am goin to london and have a euros with me,

now if i go to london, can i use them or will i have to buy pound sterling compulsorily?? Pls help me out ASAP..

Some shops for example claires accesories accept the euro.

But no. you will need to get the pound. You can exchange these interest free at the post office.
