Is FED the way?

Im hearing that field emission display is coming more closer to the tv market and as soon as they fix some minor glitches and when it becomes feasible for mass production with the promise of faultless contrast amazing dark shades and the best motion around of 230fps, could this be THE tv tech?

Until the next big technological advance takes over.  Remember, it's only 30-odd years ago that we were wowed by the advent of colour television.
