Question:

Is FRING (or YouTube) working on a cellphone using Globe's mobile internet service ?

I want to use FRING (a VoIP and IM application for mobile phones) on a cellphone (probably a SonyEricsson k770i), using the Globe mobile internet service (http://www1.globe.com.ph/feature.aspx?artid=92).

But I'm not sure if it will work, because fring needs an internet access point connection type not a WAP access point and i don't know which one is in Globes case. I plan to use only the instant messaging, not the VoIP because it would be too expensive. I cant try by myself because I'm not in Philippines now and I also don't have that phone yet, making the phone acquisition having sense only if I'm convinced that this fring will work.

So, my question is : has anyone managed to make it work, fring on Globe mobile internet ?

Or at least did anyone used Globe mobile internet service on his cellphone to visit Youtube and watch movies there ? Because if that would work it means its an internet access point not a WAP and that would be good news also.

Thank you !
