  1. Yes, fastweb.com is reliable for scholarship searches. They ask you for info and find scholarships that match the criteria. However, not all the scholarships they find for you are reliable. It comes down to you and your judgment. I've used it as a high school senior last year ( one of my teachers recommended it to me) and I did find useful ones in my area that I applied for and received, and others that I applied for and was rejected :)

I would advise you to use fastweb wisely. Your best bet is to apply to scholarships listed in your area because they are the most reliable. If you find one you want to apply for, ask friends/family if they've applied to it and what their results were. Not if they've won/lost, but if it was official and they received formal letters and correspondence.

Obviously, don't give away all your info. Ask your trusted advisers before you apply for any scholarships in the fastweb results, just to be on the safe side.

Lastly, don't rely solely on fastweb. File your FAFSA, ask counselors/advisers for apps, your high school/college office of fin aid, and get apps from nearby clubs, your parents or your workplace, organizations, restaurants, businesses, etc. Expand and apply to as many as you can.

    Hope this helps.

  2. Yes.  But don't expect to earn any scholarships from there.  Do you know how many millions of kids use it?  Go to your schools fin aid office or scholarship office as well, you will have better odds applying for those.
