Well Ive been playing the acoustic for 2 months now and I was planning to buy an electric guitar...the other one i looked was too expensive so Ive looked at this one: http://guitars.musiciansfriend.com/product/Squier-Bullet-Electric-Guitar-with-Tremolo?sku=517304

Is it good for learning stuff for a couple of years until I get a better guitar?

Or what other guitar(s) do you recommend (not more that $500)?

Thank You Very Much!!!

  1. i have one like the one laying down in the pic (the brown and black one) its a good guitar. ive been playin it for 3 1/2 years. i want to buy a gibson les paul (too bad there like $1000), but the strat is good until then!

  2. You can't beat the genuine US manufactured Fender Stratocaster but the Squire is a very good cheaper alternative. Aim to buy the real thing later (when you can play like Hendrix).

  3. decent inexpensive guitar

  4. good beginner guitar yes. and actually strats are very good for user friendly changes. my dad has 4-5 that he's done things to himself. like changing the pickguard and pick-up variations. one has 3 mini humbuckers. 2 are actually pieced together. he bought the body neck and strings and stuff all separately and put them together himself.

myself i lean towards the gibson/epiphone guitars. i have an all black SG special. and an epiphone SG G-400 custom antique ivory with 3 humbuckers.
