Is Fernando Torres going to be more marketable then Cristiano Ronaldo soon?

I think so, Torres got that easy marketability since its hard to hate him for anything, plus he's got the crazy hair that's such a hit with girls and a lot of guys. While Cristiano have a lot of areas which really do need work. Personality-Greed-Ego- all these things guys like messi torres kaka might or might not have flaws in also, but for sure never shows it

I believe he already has, Ronaldo has completely rocketed down in the social and football ladders since the Real Madrid Fiasco started. Whereas Torres doesnt seem to get tied up into greed like Ronaldo.

Dont know i cant read the future but right now, you cant compare Torres with Ronaldo, Messi or Kaka as these are all midfielders and Torres is a striker - i will be surprised if he scores as many goals 4 liverpool this season

He's come out and said that his future is with Liverpool and he doesn't want to leave. Twice infact.

And all you hear about is how Ronaldo wants to leave United and go to Real Madrid.

No...unfortunately for Liverpool they haven't taken full advantage of the Asian market(Primarily in China, Korea and Japan) where they can take advantage of their players marketability and please the large bulk of their "supporters" from Asia(87.6% of all United Supporters are from Asia)

i think so too. he's already being labelled as the best striker in the worldd and he's already a would be world player of the year someday. He's at one of the most popular football club in the world and he's a national hero for spain right now. he's my favourite player because he's a grat footballer blessed with such beautiful face and gorgeous blonde locks that everybody seems to love. it's not just me, but almost everybody in school fancies him.

Tough to tell. Cristiano may have an ego...but people like that. It might make him even more marketable. How many time did we see his crazy "oh I scored again, didn't notice" celebrations on the tube this year? Plus he's considred by many as being the best player in the game.

Depends on the fanbase. Torres has done wonders for Liverpools fan base though, whether their supporters would liek to admit it or not.

This is pure hearsay but I heard on a fairly unreliable radio station that there are more football shirts being worn with "Torres" on the back than any other player (yes even "Beckham") . If this is the case then he already is more marketable than Ronaldo

I'm not having a go at Liverpool but unless Torres plays for Real Madrid or United he will never have the audience to make him as marketable or as big as name as Ronaldo.

You ask anyone one in America who Liverpool are and they wouldn't have a clue. Even those who don't follow football in the US know about United and Real Madrid.

I don't think so. Mainly cos he hasn't got the "big" personality. He doesn't seem to want to stand out and be a peacock, he just gets on with his footy and scores goals unlike Cristina who is constantly begging for the spotlight.

As a Liverpool fan I kind of hope he keeps a relatively low profile, as being a superstar and media magnet is often a distraction and could have a negative effect on his football.
