Is Field Hockey a fun sport to play?

So I am 13 and would like to get into a sport, my aunt used to play and be really good at Field Hockey so I'd love to hear what people think of it. Is it fun and fairly easy to learn? If so when is "Field Hockey season"?

i love field hockey...so much fun its not that hard to pick up if your athletic and good eye hand coordination and a righty...i played both field and ice hockey and i love both of them...field hockey can be played year round but usually in the fall and spring

Field hockey isn't so common. I play ice hockey and it is the most fun I have ever had. Field hockey is only played in gym class and the like. Since both sports use sticks I'd say that it is easier because skates are WAY different...er. Knowing how to use the stick right took me 5 years to perform well. Hockey no matter how its done is a lifetime sport. You need to start young if you want to feel good and get used to things. I play field hockey at school and when people know what they are doing things are better than all other school sports. I love hockey more than all other school sports. Hockey season is usually fall and spring no matter ice, street, or field. FUN FUN FUN!!! When I was 10 the girls were usually the better ice hockey players btw...Even though you're a girl doesn't mean things would be worse. Just give it a chance.

omg I LOVE FIELD HOCKEY it isnt that hard to learn you just need to get your skills down which will come over time and im still working on mine and im a freshman and field hockey season is about to start...it is SUPER fun i would def. reccomend you play...and if you join a team find someone to look up to and aspire to be like them for me i look up to my sister who is AMZING at field hockey

omg I <333 field hockey sooooo much, and so does everyone that plays it loves it also. Its so fun! Field hockey is the kinda thing that its easy to learn, but tricky to master. I started fh in seventh grade, and a bunch of people that had not played a sport before, or weren't athletic that enjoyed fh very much. Fh is a sport for all levels. Field hockey is in the fall, and its a relativly short season so if you don't like it (which won't happen) it doesn't waste that much of your time.

I am actually starting field hockey next year too. I play roller and ice hockey so I figured it shouldnt be too hard, but I looked field hockey up online and on youtube to see how its played and all that stuff and I thought it was gonna be so hard! But its really not. I have a broken hockey stick thats blade is shaped like a field hockey stick so I use that with a tennis ball and its so easy and really fun. I know I havent been on the field or any of that but my friend learned it really quickly so I think if you have the dedication and the time then you should be fine. Good Luck
