Is Food Stamp part of CalWorks? If not, then what is the difference?

I heard about so many things, but I have no idea what they mean.

No they are not the same.  Calworks is what people call "welfare".  Its the cash assistance only available to needy families.  When on this, you also must work 32 hours or go to school.  Food Stamps and medical come with it unless you are under 22 and living with your parent regardless of wether or not they support you.  People who are not on Calworks can also get food stamps and medical even if they are working.

  3. Calworks is the cash portion of aid. Food stamps are separate and used for food products only. Most Calworks recipients are eligible to food stamps and Medi-cal. You can get food stamps alone. A lot of people that work get food stamps alone with no Calworks.
