Is Football manager 2008 realistic ?

Is Fm 08 realistic in terms of the way it plays and the media. For example, if i was arsenal - would it be easy if i wanted to buy Ronaldo from man utd ? I'm just wondering if things like the player / manager likeness are beleavable enough ....

It is harder to sign a player of a rival team. It is possible but will cost you a lot more for the transfer and wages. You can look on the players profile and see there loyalty the less loyal players would be easier to sign. You will get players who will upset the balance of the team and get the hump with the manager
