  1. I tried two varieties that would not flower here in NDakota, Asked the County Agent and she gave me the name of one developed in Minnesota.. Don't remember the name but blooms like crazy. Your CA should be able to name one for your area.  RScott


  2. It appears that Forsythia has no fixed abode, and if Utah is a sunny place, there is no reason why it should not flourish there. It is not really bothered about the kind of ground it lives in, so long as it is well drained, needs to be pruned annually. Here's just a few kinds,

    Beatrix Farrand, grows to 10ft

    Karl Sax,  Bushy, Short-ish

    Lynwood, Upright growth habit

    Spectabillis, Showy Border.
