Is Fossil fuels the best overall energy source to use in Canada?

If not what obstacles do we need to overcome for this to happen.

it is the best one we have to date ,solar, wind ,water,are no where near  enough facilities to give us the energy we need to live our daily lives When it comes to nuclear I don't trust the unionized clowns in these operations.

Fossil Fuels are usually warmer, fact that facilitates its use in cooller places such as CANADA.

Alternative fuels such as ethanol are cooler, making it difficult to start an engine in cooler areas...

Vehicles that run on ethanol in places such as Brasil, Argentina and Australia use Gasoline to start and then automatically switch to ethanol once the engine is already in a burning rotation.

We need to remove a large volume of methane from our arctic reserves beforfe melting of the permafrost releases it into the air.

This one fossil fuel could be our worst greenhouse gas. We should preserve the other fossil fuels for other generations.

The main problem is that we do not have facilities to transport or capture it.

By the way, ethanol in gas and diesel fuel is a great way to prevent fuel line freeze up in our cold climate. That does not make it a good fuel mostly because its production uses up so much food productive land.
