Why else would they run a story highlighting the incredible dangers posed by having a loaded gun in one's home?

  1. News outlets are supposed to report accurate, uncensored information.  Just because they may not be in favor of handgun bans doesn't mean they have to sanitize their reporting to remove anything that may hurt their position.  They would lose their credibility as a news agency if they did that (not that they haven't already).

  2. My take on the story seems different from yours. I don't think it's about the dangers of having a handgun in one's home but rather the dangers of being stupid.

I've been shooting 44 magnum for decades, and it's good for deer, hogs, and such, but might be considered a wee bit much for mice. I was about five years old when I learned one doesn't point a gun at anything he doesn't want a hole in. One can only imagine the hole in her trailer had she not dropped it but actually shot where she intended!

  3. I hope that is a real story. Because that is probably the funniest thing I've read in a long time.
