this guy is talented but he could make an error in his sleep. in the few games the Dodgers played the Giants he has looked horrible. balls are flying out of his glove. he has trouble reading the ball off the ball. He needs to practice more.

  1. Fred Lewis is legit, if you stupid dodger fans have actually seen some of the catches hes made this year you would know, and wtf is reading the ball of the ball?

  2. No.

  3. I don't get why people give Manny all this grief. He's not a bad defensively LF. He's just a silly person.

I think my vote has to go out to the NL Central. It's close between Alfonso Soriano and Ryan Braun. Both can carry the stick but they are so careless in the outfield. I think they have the talent but just don't care enough. Adam Dunn is also up there.

I think it's a tie between Soriano, Braun and Dunn. My vote goes to Soriano.

  4. He is not the worst. Like you said, he needs to practice more, but he is young and will make these sort of mistakes. I think the worst defensive left fielder in the game has to be Manny. He is slow and is extremely arrogant.

  5. I think that Manny Ramirez and Alfonso Soriano (sadly) are worse than Lewis. They play LF only in the sense that they're out there and will trot half-heartedly after balls hit in their direction. When you have a guy who injures himself hopping after catching a flyball it tells me that he may be better suited for a DH role.

  6. Manny is terrible in LF, if he was a DH he would be set for life..He only looks half decent because he plays Left field in Boston. There isnt much outfield to cover, and i could teach a 12 year old how to play the Green monster in a week. If Manny played in a park with a regular outfield 81 times a year people  would see how atrocious his fielding skills are

  7. Have you seen Manny Ramirez??  He's brutal in left...just awful..

  8. Even though his not playing but has anyone ever seen Barry Bonds Defense.

  9. Obviously we've watched the same Dodgers/Giants games.  It seems like he's playing hot potato with the ball.  He looks like a 8 year old using a glove that's not broken in.  In the 5 games I've seen him he's had to made about 3 errors on routine plays.  And when he does make a play there's a look of relief on his face.  I'm sure he'll get better because they will keep him in the lineup with the way he is hitting.

  10. man ram..

  11. if you're talking about the play yesterday, the umps made a terrible call. at best, it should have been third and second. the ball never touched anyone, it just rolled around at the top of the wall. loney was out by a mile anyway. but we aren't talking about that, so i would have to say lewis could improve his defense, but he still has a lng way to go. he will improve defensively the next couple yrs. and be lights out offensively, capable of a 20-90 year with 30 SB and a .300 hitter. i only see good things in his future, because he isn't a liabilty like "clear" bonds

  12. Marlon Anderson is much worse. Its always a circus out there when a fly ball is hit in his direction.

  13. Contrary to some people's belief, it IS Manny Ramirez. Playing LF in Boston is like playing in a beer-league softball park and he STILL manages to mess things up. He needs to hang up that fielding glove for good.
