Question:

Is Fremantle coach Mark Harvey cracking under pressure, or what?

He appeared on C7's sports news making the claim that the media has an agenda to drive Chris Tarrant out of town & back to Melbourne.

Tarrant was booed by Fremantle supporters during last weeks loss to Richmond & Harvey says it all due to the media campaign against that player.

Harvey looked like he was due to burst into tears at any moment during the short interview.

It looks like being the senior coach of an AFL team is too much for this bloke. The way he's going he'll beat Tarrant back to Melbourne!!

  1. Yeah I saw it on Fox sport.. Harvey did look prity choked up alright.. I think he may be the one not handling the media too well..

Anyhow, Tarrant's already flown back to melbourne this week for "family" business and meeting dockers in SA.. He might already be readying his melbourne nest, all set to fly home..

No great loss to dockers hes always been over rated in my opinion.. doesnt like to work hard at the ball, just pass it over to me...

  2. Yep, looks like it.

Fancy blaming the media. Tarrant has had, what, is this his third year at Fremantle, to establish himself if he had been any good.

Why did Collingwood give him the flick so quickly? Mad Mick probably thought that if he couldn't control him - nobody could.

Tarrant hasn't been in a pub fight for a few months now. The frustration of not being able to punch a drunk must be building up in him & causing his mind to be distracted from the job of playing footy.

  3. who'd blame him? having to coach that train wreck of a footy side, freo are a waste of space in the AFL...............i cant even hate them that much because they just don't register on the importance scale.

message to Harvey, tarrant is finished (about 4 years ago) solomon same and freo are a lost cause..........GET OUT OF THERE.

  4. idk

  5. Yeah. Looks like hes cracking under pressure.

Now that he doesn't have Sheeds to run crying to he is losing the plot with Fremantle Dorkers (who wouldnt?).

    Boo-hoo........

  6. If Harvey had been capable of being the senior coach Essendon would have used him to replace Sheedy.

Instead they brought in someone completely new.

He was a showy player and he sometimes doesn't think before he acts, which is not what the head honcho should do.

Tarrant is a pain in the proverbial certainly, but Bomber Thompson or Eade or, yes, Sheedy, would have got him into line which Harvey hasn't.

  7. Haven't seen it, but you know what coaches do mate when they are under the pump, look for any thing to blame, malthouse is a champ at it.

Tarrant was an overrated sook at collingwood and he still is, he is pathetic, plays like a sheila, he should be back in the country league in Victoria, his heart is not in it surely.

  8. Why are they recycling players?

Of all the recycled players, who has performed best for them? Bell?

Harvey will have to break that philosophy or he will repeat the mistakes of previous coach at the club
