I'm confused! Please someone just tell me! I've read gardening books and searched online and I can't find ANYTHING! (I know, hard to believe) Also if you know if German Chamomile is annual or perennial that would be great to know also.

Thanks!

  1. French Lavender is referred to as a bush in my garden book, so I would expect it to bloom year after year like a perennial.

    German Chamomile is an annual.

  2. All  of  the  lavender  I  planted  in  06  has  tripled  in  size  each  year  since .

It   seems  to  be  like  the  rosemary ,  an  evergreen  that  is  somewhat  dormant  in  the  winter  and  grows  aggressively  in  the  hot  season .

And   the  fragrance  is  wonderful  !

  3. Depends on your Zone.  I live in Zone 5 and planted three varieties of lavender last year.  Only one of the three came back.  If you are Zone 6 or greater, you're probably fine for them coming back year to year.  In Zone 5, check the individual variety of lavender for the zone.

I think it is a perennial in warmer areas.  it doesn't come back here in Minnesota.  At least not in my garden.
