  1. I read that it actually started in Scotland but of course, the American slaves were the ones that seasoned the chicken they put on their masters' table. So, it's definitely southern american.

  8. Chicken parts dredged in flour and deep fried, served with mashed potatoes and gravy.  That's normally classified as American Fried Chicken, identified with the American Southern States.

  9. i think it has origins in spain, italy and greece. but its been part of the us since the earliest streams of emigrations. so problably yes. after native indian cooking, its the closes thing ;)

  10. I don't know. All I know is that I LOVE FRIED CHICKEN. I really think that it did originate in the South, and it worked its way all over the country. Either way, it's delicious.
