  1. Howdy Galveston.  Fort Worth here.  If you go to MSN.com they have a storm tracker that you can watch.  I watched the news last night and they couldn't give any accurate information on what's going to happen.  They are all lost, but New Orleans has already started evacuating.  All the gas stations are out of gas, the oil rigs are empty.  Everyone's headen' for da hills.

Hate to see what might happen when Gustav hits the warm gulf waters.  This could be big.  If you live there, I would board up the house, and take your pets and important papers and come up here.

  2. The probability is that the hurricane with track inland, and Galveston will get little if any effects, unless the storm makes a significant change in it's current track.

  3. No menditory evacuation has been issued but it looks like Galveston will get hit. IF Gustav takes a bit of a turn it could be hit directly. Moniter this stuff on weather.com, they're really on top of it.

The storm is a category 3 by the way.

  4. It might, But check with your local government officials.

  5. Last I saw by the time it hits they said it will be a cat. 1. I live in Galveston and I'm staying put.
