Is Gavin Henson A Good Player ???

Henson was awarded the title of IRB Young Player of the year back in 2001.  He's rated by the likes of Gareth  Edwards and Barry John as an outstanding talent.  He was instrumental in Wales Grand Slam year in 2005, his achievements in that year are often belittled to a penalty kick and a couple of crunching tackles, however his creative spark and defensive ability are world class.  Unfortunately for Henson his reputation has taken a battering and he has been dogged by off pitch troubles.  His recent game against South Africa was encouraging and rated an 8 by the rugby coumnist Stephen Jones http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/sport/r...

Is Henson a good player?  He's a great player!

Supposedly!!! I for one think he just needs to slow down, take a deep breath and chill out.

He can be..he can also go missing during matches and not look at all intersted..

He is also ALWAYS - either carrying a inury or on his way back from one.

I would swap him for someone like Mike Catt in a second tbh..
