  1. his win over moorer for the linear heavyweight championship of the world cemented his claim as a legend, becoming the oldest hw champ in history, beating walcotts record by about 8 years.

the fact that he defeated  previously unbeated lou savarese 3 years later showed he still (at 48) had something left in the tank.

  2. The difference between a great, and a legend is this.

    GREAT.

A great is somone who over a LONG PERIOD OF SUSTAINED TIME displays fantastic skill and prowess. He attains many notable accomplishments in his journey.

    LEGEND

A legend is when that "great" is FOREVER HAILED and TALKED ABOUT in FOLK HERO fashion for generation after generation. His LEGACY of being "great" will endure through the ages

    CONCLUSION

    "BIG" GEORGE FOREMAN IS BOTH!!!

  3. A LEGEND

  4. Both

One of the top ten heavyweights all time

  5. most definetely.....there are not many boxers who would stand a chance against a prime george foreman, he was one of the most dominant champions ever.....joe frazier was considered by many to be one of the greatest boxers of all time (he still is) and george foreman made him look helpless. He had rare God given power in both arms and he managed to regain the world title at the age of 45, he is definetely in the top ten list of best heavyweights ever.

  6. Absolute legend.  Gold medal, 2 world titles, KO wins over Frazier, Norton and the impossible to KO George Chuvalo.

In his 40's he more than held his own with the top fighters of the era.

  7. it is best to refer to george foreman as a living legend in the history of heavyweight boxing.
