Is German beer better than American beer?

Some is, some isn't. What you should do is compare craft beer with craft beer. Megabrews are meant to appeal to the unwashed masses, wherever you are.

This is a pretty terrible question.  Heineken isn't even German, and if Budweiser represented American beer, I'd have to kill myself.

If you're talking domestics like MGD, bud light, etc. Then yes.  About anything is better than those.  They're good if you're looking for cheap beer, but for real flavor check out all the different types of beers. It's also good to go for the seasonal stuff.  Heavier beers in the winter and lighter beers in the summer.  There's a whole lot out there.  If you have more questions email me.

get it!  there is plenty of wonderful beer from the USA!  you need to browse your grocery stores and try some new stuff if all you drink is bud and miller products!

some of the best beer i have ever had comes from the US (i have been to Germany and belgium)

I would pick a heineken over a bud.. neither are my style..
