  1. Yes it is a cycle. The earth goes through 100,000 years of gobal warming and then 10,000 years of an ice age I believe. People say were going to have global warming in a fe more years. There wrong. We are already in it. In a few years we might be in an ice age possibly. You never know.

  2. yes it is a cycle. after every ice age, big and small, the earth has warmed up to allow the ice to melt and glaciers to receed. And before every ice age, big and small again, the earth has warmed up. Go figure.

  3. The answer to your question... Kind of.

There is no set in stone answer to this that I know of, but one must consider the cause of global warming to determine if it is indeed a cycle.

In one theory, the earth goes through warming and cooling periods based on currents in the sea and sky, ice ages and such. As we are just (10,000 years ago) coming out of an ice age, this might explain some of this global warming, and could most certainly be considered a cycle.

In another theory, the earth's axis wobbles, leading the earth to receive the sun's rays at different angle. This would lead to a cyclic warming and cooling.

Yet another theory suggests that the sun might go through warming and cooling periods, effecting the temp. here on earth.

It might be one, or all three, or a combo of these theories, all of which are cyclic in nature. However...

humans are producing alot of greenhouse gases, which ARE warming our planet. This is NOT a cylce, but a death sentence. We have the resources available to stop our need for oil, gas, etc... but we choose not too because fosil fuels make alot of people alot of money. In about 50 years we're going to run out of oil.. and then we'll be forced to use more earth-freindly tactics.

I hope this helped. If you need more info, e-mail me and i'll see what I can dig up.
