Is Goan Police really doing their work?

Is the goan police really doing their work. If they were really doing their job then why would they pass of the murder as drowning?The truth is Indian Police is known for their corruption. Youcan get away with murder if you bribe the cops.The only reasons they are on their toes is because the media has covered the story so they cant hide their shameful faces and also because its a british national who was involved. If it had to be an local then the matter would have been squashed without a trace and justice would have never been done.This does not happen in britain.

Goan police should hang their heads in shame for letting this go off so easily.

I hired a motor bike once in Goa.   I asked about insurance.   No insurance.   What if the police stop me?   Give them 20 rupees!    Bribery of the police is a way of life in Goa.   But look on the bright side.   Goa has the best police force that money can buy!   I asked how much it would cost to get away with murder.   £7000..

Yes they are doing their work - as in doing what they are paid to do...

They are corrupt, so please don't look for justice if you don't have the money to pay for it!

In my experience of Goan Police then if a local GOAN was murdered then a full enquiry would be carried out. If a poor Indian from another state - say Karnataka was murdered then not a lot would happen at all. Their first consideration when a foreign tourist is murdered is to shift the blame away from Goa. If they can't blame another tourist then they'll try to pin it on a poor non-Goan Indian.

Goan police, remind me of the bullies at school. they pick on the weak. ever seen a plain clothes policeman, chase after the kids on the beach, only to steal their hard earned money, but never take off them ,what they are selling, call them policemen? when a murder happens?, they haven't a clue what to do. Lets face it, its not qualifications that get you into the police but how much money you got to bribe them, so what kind of idiots are running Goan police force

I am a New Zealand citizen living in New Zealand. I could do a better job as the Detective Inspector in charge of major operations in Goa than they can.
