Is God a he or a she when you think about him/her?

  9. I refer to him as a he. However, I think of him as some sort of genderless being. My gender is irrevelant.

  10. It's because of Jesus, who IS God, that we think of God as male. But in reality, the "Father" God is not anything. He is not held down by such things as gender, and location, and time.

  13. I am a Christian male. I tend to think of God in male terms, due to social and religious conditioning. However, the idea of God having feminine aspects doesn't bother me. I feel that God is actually transcendent of gender.

    Which is why I tend to think Divine or Great Spirit .... or some thing with less stereo typical meaning on it.

  18. God has NO gender. The scriptures in various points use masculine, feminine, neuter, and "both" terms in the original languages speaking of God.

  19. Man - God is a Man. Jesus Christ was also a man. We know God is a man because Jesus Christ says in the Bible many times that He does the will of the Father and mentions His Father many many times.

But as we were created in his image so are men able to tap into the feminine qualities of women by having a tender and compassionet heart.

    I know in my mind that God is beyond it. But im still stuck in what was palced there by my culture.

  27. God is supposed to be everything and nothing from what I recall. So he/she/it could be anything. But I know as a child growing up I've had the stereotypical image in my mind of an old, giant man with a big white beard dressed in white, like a thinner santa, or an Albus Dumbledore ha ha. I personally am constantly battling on if there is a God.

    I want to believe in God, but only out of fear as I do not want to go to h**l, but to believe in something out of fear is wrong, so I choose not to....but I want to believe...and so the debate in my mind continues and I end up choosing to wait till I die. I will deal with it then. [I hope that made sense ha ha]
